Independent NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Training: getting it right first time

Here you can register a place for a fantastic opportunity of a joint Independent CHC Training aimed at health and social care colleagues across the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin footprint, which runs from September until December 2023.

This Independent CHC Training is open to all Social Workers and NHS staff.

Session, covering some practical guidance to help you in your important work, will be delivered by Jane Reynolds, Independent Chair, NHS England (London Region) Independent Review Panel, online via Microsoft Teams.

Aim of the session: To maintain and develop the knowledge and skills of the participants regarding NHS Continuing Healthcare and to provide an opportunity for participants’ questions to be answered (or identified for future training).

Learning outcomes: Participants will have an enhanced understanding of the matters covered during the session, particularly regarding the expectations of the National Framework, identifying appropriate levels of need in the Decision Support Tool, the construction of robust material about the four key characteristics of eligibility for NHS Continuing Healthcare, and alternative routes to NHS funding.

Please note that joining instructions, agenda and pre-reading material will be shared with the registered participants a week ahead of the session.
