Integrated Urgent Care lead commissioner event
Ticket sales finished: 2 June 2017 11:55pm
By March 2019, the entire population is to have access to functionally Integrated Urgent Care Services. We measure progress on this target via a quarterly census which tracks progress against the 8 key elements of IUC. NHS England will shortly publish a national service specification against which commissioners must secure services. In addition NHS England is working jointly with Health Education England (HEE) and STPs to drive transformation of the IUC workforce.
The Lead Commissioner Event will focus on achievement of Integrated Urgent Care by March 2019. We will provide you with updates on the current workforce programme and what is happening within Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) technical enablers workstream. The majority of the day will concentrate on the 8 key elements and in particular the two elements which areas are finding the most difficult to achieve. There will be presentations from a mixture of Commissioners and Providers who are currently achieving these 2 most challenging elements: 1) 24/7 access to a GP and 2) GP booking in Hours. There will be working sessions to allow you to ask questions, understand how challenges have been overcome and review how these methods can be adapted for delivery within your local areas.
