Launch Webinar: Support Worker Learning and Development Roadmap

8 June 2023 11:00am – 12:00pmBST (+01:00)
Virtual (Microsoft Teams)

The Support Worker Learning and Development Roadmap was originally published in November 2021 to support Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) with their learning and development journey by signposting resources and guidance in four key areas; personal skills, technical skills, career progression and skills for life including functional skills.  This resource has now been refreshed and includes a brand-new section focusing on mental health and wellbeing, case studies and a broadened scope with resources tailored to Maternity Support Workers (MSSWs) and Allied Health Professions Support Workers (AHPSWs) too!

To launch the Support Worker Learning and Development Roadmap the HCSW Programme are hosting a webinar on behalf of NHS England’s Nursing Directorate. The webinar will focus on what the resource is, how to find it and how to effectively use it, including embedding within trust specific packages. We want to showcase good practice, highlight the updates, and share examples which can be applied to your trusts.

The webinar will take place on Thursday 8th June, 11:00am to 12:00pm, via Microsoft teams, and will be chaired by Carolyn Fox, Strategic Nurse Advisor, NHS England. Carolyn will be joined by speakers from NHS England and trust speakers who will provide insight from both a national and local perspective on how this resource has and can be used.

This event is aimed at everyone within your organisation involved in the recruitment, management, development, education and retention of the support worker workforce.

We ask that you please register above by 12pm on Wednesday 7th June 2023. Once registration has closed, we will then send an outlook invitation to the event to all registered attendees.
