Translating learning into action from mortality reviews to improve health and care outcomes and save lives.

This event aims to provide an excellent learning and networking opportunity for people with an interest in ensuring high quality health and care services for people with a learning disability.

Key learning outcomes for the event include raising awareness, confidence and understanding of:

  • Working closely with people with a learning disability and their families to achieve enhanced health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • The issues faced by people with a learning disability and their families that lead to poor health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • The LeDeR Programme and key emerging themes from the reviews.
  • Practical solutions across health and care systems for providing high quality care for people with a learning disability and their families.

This event is intended for any health and care professional who may encounter people with a learning disability and their families using their services, including professionals in mainstream health care services as well as specialist health and social care services and their partners in the voluntary and independent sector.
