National LGBT+ Health Conference 2025

We invite you to attend the national LGBT+ Health Conference on Monday 15th September 2025. The event will bring together a diverse group of participants - including clinicians, academics, policy makers, commissioners, healthcare providers, and representatives from the LGBT+ voluntary sector - to explore and showcase innovative best practices that are driving meaningful change in LGBT+ health and care.

To be attended by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting MP and the Chief Nursing Officer for England, Duncan Burton, this year’s theme is “Impact and Innovation” and will provide an opportunity to hear those working in LGBT+ health present, review and consider the impact of programmes and initiatives that highlight best practice and innovative approaches to reducing health inequalities within LGBT+ communities. In alignment with the NHS 10 Year Plan, we will highlight work that demonstrates the three shifts that reflect a bold vision for a more inclusive, equitable, and future-ready health and care system:

    • From hospital to community
    • From sickness to prevention
    • From analogue to digital

The conference will highlight work from VCSE organisations and academic institutes, as well as from NHS organisations and those who work specifically to better the health of LGBT+ communities, focusing on innovative best practice within the following areas

  • Improving care and addressing inequalities through Data Collection and Monitoring
  • Improving knowledge and awareness for staff through Education and Training
  • Delivering LGBT+ Inclusive Services in primary and secondary care
  • Supporting the LGBT+ workforce by ensuring the NHS is a welcoming and inclusive place to work.

We will also have a specific focus on the government’s commitment to ending HIV transmissions by 2030 with innovative examples of strategies and novel approaches to achieve this ambition.
