Ticket sales have finished for this event.
NHS England & NHS Improvement (London Region) Safeguarding Programme team are hosting our annual Safeguarding Conference on 2nd June 2020 at The Kia Oval and Surrey County Cricket Club.
Based on last year’s numbers, we are confident that this conference is likely to attract over 350 delegates from across the health and care economy in London, including all the lead Safeguarding Children and Adults professionals working in the NHS across the capital. We are keen to have a good range of frontline health and social care professionals such as Acute and Mental HealthTrust hospital-based clinicians, Community practitioners (HV’s, DN’s, CPNs’, SW’s, AHP’s) and Primary Care practitioners such as GP’s, Practice Nurses, Dentists, Community Pharmacists and Optometrists. We are also eager to ensure that there is good representation from other safeguarding partners including but not limited to the Police, Social Care, Education, Probation and Third Sector.
Due to all of the 2019 conference spaces being taken within three days, we will be taking a different approach to this year’s process.
Via this webpage you will be able to REGISTER YOUR INTEREST ONLY for a space at this regional safeguarding event. Registrations of interest will be open from 3rd March and close on 31st March. Successful registrants will be notified by Friday 17th April whether they have secured a place. This notification will be via email.
If you are unsuccessful, you will still be able to view and participate in this event in real-time by viewing the live-streaming and engaging with Slido (details to be shared closer to the date on this page).
We encourage people to book meeting rooms at their places of work for the entire day so that as many people can learn and engage with safeguarding content throughout the day. Please do look into room bookings now to avoid disappointment.
The theme of this year’s conference is "reducing violence and abuse within our communities". This is a major issue that we are trying to address through contextual safeguarding, and also recognise it as a significant issue within the context of the intrafamilial environments. We have secured a range of highly knowledgeable and engaging speakers for this event.
We also plan to have several stalls showcasing some of the brilliant and innovative work from across the safeguarding system within London STPs, CCGs and Providers.
Please register your interest via this webpage and we will only contact you via email by Friday 17th April if you have a confirmed place. Please feel free to share this webpage link with your local networks and contacts.
Please note that you can only register for one ticket per person.
Thank you all and we are looking forward to an engaging and informative event.
