Making Data Count - Analyst Training on SPC - Modules 1-3

Overview

Making Data Count Analyst training consists of three modules that encompasses the national competency framework and will be delieverd over one afternoon, the session will include 2 breaks:

Module 1

• You understand the principles of normal and special cause variation
• You understand how data can be presented and interpreted in SPC charts
• You are able to produce basic XmR charts and are aware of available tools

Module 2

• You understand the statistics and assumptions behind XmR charts
• You understand when it is not appropriate to use SPC
•  You understand how and when to recalculate process limits

Module 3

• You understand the range of other SPC charts that are available and the requirements for their use
• You understand SPC in more depth and are able to refine your use of the approach
• You can support operational / clinical colleagues to use SPC to support improvement
