Masterclass: Introducing the new Tobacco Dependence and Alcohol Dependence Compartment

We’re excited to announce that the Model Health System (MHS) now features a dedicated Prevention area. The first two compartments in this new section focus on Tobacco Dependence  and  Alcohol Dependence.

The compartments are based on data from NHSE Tobacco and Alcohol Dependence patient level data collections. They include metrics, at a range of geographical levels, that analyse the different parts of the treatment pathways. You can use this data for benchmarking, driving quality improvement, informing commissioning decisions, and understanding  health inequalities in your area.

Please note: The current MHS metrics are a subset of those available on the Tobacco and Alcohol Dependence Dashboards on FutureNHS. These dashboards offer additional functionality, including pre-built visualisations. Over time, more metrics from the Dashboards may also be added to MHS.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions to the panel of speakers and the session will be recorded. It will also be available here: model.nhs.uk/videos.
