Midlands and East Transforming Care and Housing: Good Practice Day

A free one day housing event organised by the Local Government Association and NHS England with influential speakers that will look at how the housing sector can support the Transforming Care Programme and help deliver great services. Housing and Transforming Care colleagues will have the opportunity to network with others across the Midlands and East region and to  share good practice

The event will showcase practical and sustainable examples of housing design for people with a learning disability, autism or both. Sessions will include:

A presentation by Campbell Tickell on how to produce local housing strategies and ensure that there are high quality housing options for people leaving hospital

A presentation by mcch about the way in which they have developed supported housing tailored to the needs of autistic people  

A session by the Care Quality Commission that wil focus on the registration of supported housing in the community   

The day will also see the launch  of three guides to help support housing and commissioning teams in meeting the needs of people with a learning disability, autism or both.   

The event will be held in an accessible, community venue located within a few minutes walk of Leicester train station. There is a public car park located near the venue on Newarke Street.
