Midlands Cardiac Networks Launch

1 December 2021 2:00pm – 5:00pmGMT (+00:00)
Virtual (Microsoft Teams)

We are pleased to invite you to the launch of the Midlands Cardiac Networks.

The East Midlands and West Midlands Cardiac Networks are being re-established to lead whole-pathway change and working with local healthcare systems.

This will be achieved by improving and transforming care along the pathways that patients take: from primary care through specialised services and back to primary and community care; from cardiovascular disease prevention and early diagnosis through to treatment, rehabilitation and end of life.  There are 7 Clinical Pathways to deliver this:- Acute Aortic Dissection, STEMI/ACS, Heart Failure, Rhythm Management, Valve Disease, Stable Chest Pain, Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest / Cardiac Rehab.

The Networks are being supported by the National Cardiac Pathway Improvement Programme (CPIP).  CPIP’s vision is better cardiac health and healthcare for all.

CPIP brings together NHSE&I collective priorities set out in the Long Term Plan, GIRFT, Specialised Commissioning, and the National Outpatient Transformation Programme.

This event is open to all who have a special interest in cardiac services (Service Managers, Commissioners, Clinical Leads, Nurses etc).  The MS Teams link will be embedded in the agenda below.
