Model Health System/Data - Allied Health Professionals (Session 7)
Background - Looking After Our People (LAOP) Retention Programme
The overarching aim of the national LAOP retention programme (NHS England and NHS Improvement) is to retain people in the NHS and to retain them well. As part of our wider programme of work, the Allied Health Professional retention workstream has been established to better understand and help address the specific needs of this workforce.
The retention of this valuable workforce is our focus and to ensure that they are supported, encouraged, and enabled to thrive in their roles.
AHP Retention Bitesize Learning Webinars
As part of the national support offer, the People Directorate Retention team are working in partnership with the Office of the Chief Allied Health Professions Officer to facilitate a series of monthly “Allied Health Professionals Retention Bite-Size Learning Webinars”. These online interactive webinars provide a platform to share the latest data and evidence on AHP retention, as well as a forum for providers to share their experiences and innovative solutions to factors that impact staff retention.
The sessions are open to all healthcare employees with an interest and/or role relating to recruiting, retaining, and improving the experience and wellbeing of Allied Health Professionals across the country.
