MOSS: Webinar for maternity services

The Maternity Outcomes Signal System (MOSS) is a critical safety signal system being developed by NHS England in response to the first recommendation in the "Reading the Signals" report on East Kent. MOSS uses near real-time data to identify potential safety concerns in maternity services. It will monitor term stillbirths, neonatal deaths and brain injuries prompting a rapid response. It is identified in the 10 Year Health Plan for England with the commitment that MOSS will be in place across trusts from November 2025.

This is the second of our support webinars for NHS staff, including ICBs and regions that will introduce maternity colleagues to MOSS, demonstrate how it can be used, and talk through the required response from trusts and governance under the Perinatal Quality Oversight Model. There will be an opportunity to ask questions.
