NHS Cyber Incident Response Team webinar

25 June 2025 1:30pm – 3:00pmBST (+01:00)
Location TBC

Please join NHS England for a supplier webinar on the upcoming tender for the replacement of the Cyber Incident Response Team Contract.

The NHSE Cyber Improvement Programme is supporting the Health and Care Sector to continue to adapt and improve its cyber resilience against the evolving threats, protect itself and retain public confidence. As part of this programme, the Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) support organisations with ongoing containment, eradication, and recovery from cyber security incidents and provides 'boots on the ground' support to:

  • investigate and recover from cyber incidents
  • ensure 24/7 rapid response is available
  • provide specialist forensic analysis and secure evidence gathering, which could later form part of a legal case.

More than one supplier is required to cover instances where:

  • multiple cyber incidents are experienced simultaneously OR
  • where one provider cannot respond due to a conflict of interest (e.g. where they are providing related services such as auditing and management consulting to a Trust under attack).

At this webinar, we will share our plans, requirements, and timescales for the procurement of this replacement service.  We will also offer the opportunity for follow-up 1-1 sessions with interested and capable suppliers where questions can be fielded to the project team.

From these engagement sessions we hope that the supplier community will:

  • have a greater understanding of our core and new requirements
  • can help us shape the best possible structure for delivering this vital service
  • can begin preparing to respond to the opportunity when it is published.

Please note that applicants must meet the NCSC Assured Cyber Incident Response Scheme Enhanced  Level to be eligible to bid (https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/files/CIR-Enhanced-Standard.pdf).
