NHS England - Dental Access Heat Map Launch - WebEx

As of April 2018 a Dental Access Mapping Tool will be commissioned for use locally to support commissioning decisions and addressing access issues/hotspots.

NHS South Central and West CSU who are the nominated provider, will be holding a series of WebEx sessions to demonstrate how the software works and offer you the opportunity to ask any questions.

The Dental Access Mapping Tool will provide data at Regional, Local and Ward level as well as, Local Authority, CCGs, and STP footprint. A number of Commissioners have identified additional local planning areas. The Dental Access Mapping Tool will enable you to visualise:

• Practice contract locations
• Practice contract value
• Contract Type
• Number of UDAs commissioned
• UDA delivery
• Current population (ONS data)
• Number of patients and % of population accessing NHS dental services (24 month access figures)
• Access Targets
• Population growth
• Population age profile
• Deprivation data
• Ethnicity data
• Information on how far patients are travelling to access NHS dentistry at ward level (patient flows).

The WebEx will take place on Tuesday 10th April 2018 and will starts at 2.00pm and finish at 3.30pm
