North Workforce Network - Sickness Absence
North Workforce Network - Approaches to reduce sickness absence and maintain wellness during challenging times
Wednesday 7th May - 12.30pm-2pm (MS Teams)
We know that 2025/26 will be a challenging year for Trusts and ICBs and the drive to improve productivity whilst at the same time reducing costs will undoubtedly have an impact on employee health and wellbeing. Alongside this the North West and North East and Yorkshire experience the highest sickness rates in the country which makes this all the more challenging.
Any period of change and uncertainty will make it even more difficult to see improvements in sickness absence levels and therefore a positive organisational culture which supports people to remain well at work is more important than ever.
In this session you will hear more about the research and public health considerations affecting sickness absence plus case studies from some of our best performing Trusts who will talk about what they have in place.
The session is aimed at anyone working in Trusts and ICBs in the North West and North East & Yorkshire regions who lead on or have a particular interest in employee health and wellbeing; including HR/OD professionals, service managers and professional leads.
Registration closes at 9am on 6th May when the MS teams link will be circulated
