North Workforce Network

Understanding Adult Social Care - through a social care lens

9th July, 1-2pm (MS Teams)

As referenced in the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, Health and Social Care services are interdependent and to tackle the current challenges in the NHS successfully social care is critical to ensuring services are the best and most appropriate for our population.  Improved outcomes in population health and care are one of the fundamental purposes of Integrated Care Systems (ICS's) and to achieve this health and social care need to work collaboratively and come together to develop a workforce that integrates and connects across all parts of the system to deliver personal, person-centred care.

Led by colleagues from Skills for Care this session will provide you with an insight into adult social care, its structure, funding and the opportunities and support available.

Social care is an integral part of all our pathways so as well as improving knowledge and understanding we also want to inspire possibilities for further connection and collaboration in the future wherever you work.

Although the North Workforce Network is primarily aimed at colleagues working in the North West and North East & Yorkshire regions anyone is welcome to join.
