Nursing and Midwifery Sustainability Enabling Framework Co-design Workshop

18 October 2023 10:00am – 1:00pmBST (+01:00)
Virtual (MS Teams)

Work is underway to develop the Chief Nursing Officer for England’s Professional Strategy for Nursing and Midwifery. This strategy will set out the direction of travel and ambitions for the professions.

One of the areas of focus is sustainability. To support Greener NHS ambitions, we are developing an enabling framework to support professional identity, engagement and practice in this area. The co-development of this enabling framework is a key priority in putting our strategic ambitions into action and will underpin our future delivery.

We will be developing this enabling framework through co-production and insights from across the professions, specialties, and global sustainability agenda. In order to achieve this, we are holding a number of facilitated online workshops to support  nursing and midwifery colleagues to share their important experience, knowledge and expertise.

These workshops will help us to identify clearly the role of nurses and midwives in the sustainability agenda, with a focus on identifying co-benefits for workforce, patients / communities, and the wider health service.

This workshop is taking place on Wednesday 18 October from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

The deadline for registration is 4pm Tuesday 17 October  and workshops are aimed at nurses and midwives working across health and social care, and nursing and midwifery students.
