Showcasing NHS England’s Pharmacy Offer: What We Bring to the Table
What is NHS England Pharmacy and what do we bring to the table?
This event shines a light on the evolving identity of NHS Pharmacy - our scope, function, offer, and strategic direction. We will show how the pharmacy workforce is positioned to support integrated, place-based care as part of multi-professional, cross sector teams – in particular, as part of new Health and Care Neighbourhoods.
Led by Dr Matt Aiello, Strategic Lead for Education Reform, NHS England, this session will spotlight what NHSE is doing to support the pharmacy workforce. Attendees will get a preview of our 2025-26 offers and where we’re planning to go in the future.
NHS service transformation starts with asking the right questions – we will describe the work we’re doing to engage with and learn from service providers. We’ll share how we’ve worked with internal teams and partners to deliver research and evaluation to inform and justify our work.
We’ll also talk about how we’re helping employers access our support offers… including our new NHS Futures ‘shop window’ – a new transformation hub and community of practice, which we’re co-producing with employers in 2025.
This is a timely opportunity to:
- Understand the value of education and training in preparing pharmacy teams to work in integrated, multi-professional settings.
- Explore how pharmacy contributes to neighbourhood development and population health.
- Learn about upcoming workforce development projects and how to express interest.
- Share our learning around the importance of engaging with internal and external partners to shape and deliver our work (and how we’ve done it!).
- Help shape a model workforce training pathway by engaging with service providers to better understand local needs.
Whether you're involved in workforce, commissioning, education, or service delivery, this session will help you connect with the vision and practical tools to embed pharmacy into the heart of neighbourhood care.
📅 Date: 05 November, 13:15 – 14:00
