Shine a light on co-production June 2026 – Presents:

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust’s (LPT) Lived Experience Leadership Framework

LPT will share how it has embedded lived experience leadership across the organisation through a co produced framework developed with people with lived experience. Created to ensure that lived experience influences decision making at every level, the framework introduced an inclusive recruitment approach that formally recognises lived experience as a valued form of expertise.

The Trust initially aimed to recruit ten Lived Experience Partners (LEPs), but interest and engagement led to 24 appointments, with 17 active across the Trust two years on. LEPs now co chair groups, support service redesign, contribute to training, and lead or co lead improvement work across various clinical services, and corporate programmes. Their purpose is clear: to ensure that services reflect the real needs of communities and that no voice goes unheard.

This session, co presented with Lived Experience Partners, will highlight practical methods, lessons learned, and the meaningful impact of lived experience leadership in creating inclusive, compassionate, and effective services
