Aims

This workshop focuses on resources to support young people with emerging psychosis to quit smoking.  It builds upon the national drive for parity of esteem of physical and mental health, and the importance of physical healthcare in early psychosis.  The workshop will examine the evidence and interventions to promote smoking cessation in early psychosis.

Target audience

Those involved in the EIP field who have a particular interest in physical healthcare.

Further details

There will be key sessions with international experts describing the work they have done in this area, including Dr Jackie Curtis from University of New South Wales, Sydney, and Professor Simon Gilbody from the University of York.  We will also be hosting the launch of the UK version of yQUIT, a resource to support smoking cessation for people experiencing early psychosis.
