Net Zero Week: How do we build a more sustainable NHS?
The NHS South East Region is hosting a full-day virtual event to celebrate UK’s official Net Zero Week which will showcase how Sustainability is being embedded across healthcare. Open to staff across the NHS, this national webinar will highlight just how broad and relevant Sustainability is – and how it impacts every area of the NHS, from clinical care to estates, finance, digital, workforce and beyond.
Running from 08:00 to 18:00, the event features a packed programme of 30-minute sessions, making it easy for staff to drop in and out of topics based on their interests and availability. Whether you’re just beginning to explore Sustainability or leading change in your organisation, there’s something here for you.
What to Expect:
- A range of speakers and perspectives, from national leaders to frontline staff and innovators
- Real-world case studies from across the NHS and partner organisations
- Practical examples of staff engagement, low-carbon care models, and what actions actually make a difference
- Expert sessions on clinical transformation, estates decarbonisation, and green funding opportunities and much more
This is your opportunity to connect with others, share ideas and challenges, and gain fresh inspiration for building a greener, more resilient NHS.
Sessions are designed to be flexible and engaging – pop in when you can, stay for what interests you, and take away learning that you can apply in your own role or indeed life more generally.
Together, we can create a more sustainable healthcare system that supports both people and the planet.
