South East region SEND data event
A lack of robust data on Children and Young People (CYP) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) makes it harder for local services to plan effectively, identify gaps in provision, and know how well children and families are faring.
Poor data has been highlighted time and time again in SEND local area inspections by Ofsted and CQC as a key factor undermining joint strategic planning and commissioning to improve outcomes for Children and Young People with SEND. The new SEND inspection framework places a strong emphasis on local areas and Integrated Care Boards (ICB) being able to demonstrate the impact made to outcomes of those with SEND.
Following feedback from our systems across the South East region and publication of a data piece in the February 2023 edition of the South East Learning Disability and Autism monthly bulletin, we have planned an online SEND data event on 25 April 2023, 10:00 - 12:00.
During this event, speakers will showcase their work and outline how they developed their SEND dashboard. This session is aimed at SEND ICB SROs, ICB data leads and DCOs/DMO, and aims to support ICBs in developing SEND data linked to outcomes whilst being a practical session to learn from each other and ask questions.
Please register for this event via the 'reserve' button, and a calendar invite with joining details will be sent to you by close of play on Monday 24 April.
