South West London STP Safeguarding Workshop

As a part of NHS England & NHS Improvement (London Region) commitment to supporting the safeguarding workforce, especially in such times of change we are currently all going through in the NHS, we will be hosting a workshop on Thursday 30^th May 2019. The workshop will bring together Designated and Named professionals from the NHS CCGs and NHS Trusts across the South West London STP footprint to workshop ideas around how the NHS safeguarding leaders work together to fulfil the expectations required by statutory guidance and the NHS Accountability and Assurance Framework.

The session will provide:

• An overview of safeguarding issues in the SWL STP (based off Adult Social Care, Children’s Social Care, Police, NHS Digital and Home Office data)
• Workshopping ideas around what your challenges are in the SWL STP
• How Designated and Named/provider leads relate to each other
• What needs to be done differently in the new NHS and in changing safeguarding arrangements

A pre-workshop survey will be sent out to the SWL STP Safeguarding leaders. A post-workshop evaluation survey will also be sent out after the 30^th May for feedback.
