The Big 5

The East of England Clinical Network is holding an invite-only dementia event as part of its dementia diagnosis ‘Big 5’ project on 3^rd March 2020, 10am-4pm.  

The event will showcase 5 improvement areas which have previously proved successful at improving the Dementia Diagnosis rate in CCGs across the region and nationally. Experts in each of the 5 area will deliver a presentation to the audience on their Big 5 topic area which will be followed up by workshops enabling more detailed discussion to take place. CCGs attending this event will then be offered the opportunity to work with the experts to improve one (or more) Big 5 topic areas, through virtual mentoring support, over the following months.

The event is open to CCGs through invitation-only and there is an expectation that attendees will be committed to working with at least one expert as a result of being involved. We would suggest more than one representative attend per CCG so a number of workshops can be attended. Due to the request to sign up to working on an improvement area, it would be helpful for attendees to include those who are able to make decisions on the day, such as commissioners and service managers.
