The results of the 2019 National Cancer Patient Experience Survey reveal that overall experience is rated at its highest ever level, with a patient average rating of 8.81 out of 10. This continues an improving trend from 8.70 in 2015. Although white respondents were the ethnic group rating their care most positively, every ethnicity reported an increase in overall satisfaction compared with five years ago. The survey heard from 67,858 respondents nationally, a response rate of 60.9% (down from 64.2% in 2018). All were patients aged 16 and over who had a confirmed primary diagnosis of cancer and were discharged after inpatient or day case treatment between April and June 2019. You can see all the data <https://www.ncpes.co.uk/current-results/> at national, trust, CCG and Alliance level.
