We would like to invite all colleagues leading, working in and supporting Primary Care to a virtual, interactive and engaging event to help begin the conversation into the wellbeing needs of our Primary Care workforce and how we can collaboratively support these needs. It’s designed for anyone who has interest and capacity to help us to start this conversation, with a vision of growing the discussion and following up with supportive actions and resources.

You will hear about NHS England and Improvement workforce wellbeing and mental health hub support offers and how Primary Care can benefit from them through free access. We will then offer space to collaboratively explore Primary Care workforce wellbeing challenges and opportunities, as well as how our healthcare workforce wellbeing policy can effectively translate and empower the Primary Care workforce.

Aims of our event:

  • Enabling a better understanding of the workforce health and wellbeing drivers, challenges and opportunities that are unique to Primary Care and how we can support you to improve the wellbeing of the Primary Care workforce.
  • Showcasing the national healthcare wellbeing support offers, available free to all multidisciplinary Primary Care colleagues to encourage access, including the national staff offer, mental health hubs and bespoke support available to Primary Care.
  • Exploring current national healthcare workforce wellbeing policy drivers to collaboratively consider how these can be better shaped to benefit the Primary Care workforce.
  • Sharing multi-professional perspectives to co-design next steps that enable a collaborative and supportive vision to meet the wellbeing needs of the Primary Care workforce.

Appreciating the current pressures on our healthcare system and how not everyone who wants to attend will be able to make this, this event is designed to begin the conversation. We will hold further events in the future for those unable to attend on 3 March. The event is open to Primary Care colleagues and those who support primary care who have the capacity to engage. It is the starting point of an ongoing and collaborative conversation in this area.

Please note that the Teams link will be circulated 48 hours prior to the event.  We therefore advise you manually add a hold to your calendar to block out the time.

By signing up to this event you give your permission for us to share your contact details with internal NHS E&I regional colleagues to support you with this work going forward.
