Community conversations and journaling brings wellbeing guardians together in a unique offer that enables peer support and a mechanism to influence national wellbeing policy using their collective voice. It achieves this through an ongoing cycle of confidential journaling of personal lived experiences as a guardian, followed by virtual action-learning and peer support conversation events.
Supporting peers by sharing practice: Sharing successes and challenges in an action learning way enables peer support and community learning.
Influencing national strategy: Pooling themes from the data within journals and conversation events influences national wellbeing strategy, enabling NHS England and Improvement to leverage the combined guardians’ voice.
Shape future conversation events: Outputs and themes shared from journaling and conversation events are continually built on, helping to shape future peer learning.
Impact evaluation of role: Engaging in this way assists NHS England and Improvement to track the personal journey as a wellbeing guardians through ‘lived experience’ to help understand the impact of the role has in practice; on the wellbeing of our NHS people.
