Living with and Beyond Cancer – Where are we now?

As more people are living with and beyond cancer, the focus is on how we transform pathways to ensure that everyone receives the personalised care and support they need, when they need it, to live a happy and healthy life.

From diagnosis, the emphasis is on identifying people’s health and wellbeing needs and finding ways to address those needs through the provision of person-centred care where people are supported to self-manage where possible.

The West Midlands Cancer Alliance is holding a free event on Wednesday 21 November 2018 at Aston Villa Football Club which will bring together colleagues from Primary and Secondary Care, Commissioning and the voluntary sector  from across the region.

Plenary sessions will include the latest developments from the National Cancer Team Lead for Living With and Beyond, Senior Programme Manager, Lesley Smith,  an update on Stratified Follow-Up, how one Trust is implementing the recovery package, and how Cancer Care Reviews close the loop in Primary Care. Later in the day, delegates will be given an opportunity to share practice and discuss the way forward in a number of group sessions.

This is a must for anyone responsible for delivering the Living With and Beyond Cancer agenda.
