Additional excellence in basics training webinars are now available
Following high demand and positive feedback, the Elective Care Improvement Support Team (IST) is pleased to announce a second series of the excellence in basics virtual training webinars. The aim of these sessions is to support development of the core skills required to manage elective waiting lists and provide updates on post COVID-19 elective recovery.Please note that sessions 1 to 4 are a repeat of the original series, so if you or colleagues missed out sign up today. The sessions are open to all our colleagues nationally.
In addition, we are running sessions to provide an overview of the updated The Elective Care Guide - Elective Care IST Network - FutureNHS Collaboration Platform which is a great source of information on all key aspects of elective care.

This 60-minute webinar is for those working either in a provider, commissioner or regional team who have daily interactions with RTT and elective pathways. The session will focus on the detail of RTT rules, their application and will address some of the challenges currently being experienced across providers and their systems. (We have allowed an additional 30 minutes for questions at the end of the webinar).

2 Cancer Rules and Operational Management - Live Webinar
This 60-minute webinar is aimed mainly at performance and operational or service managers working either in a provider, commissioner or regional team and have regular dealings with the management of cancer waiting times and cancer standards. The session will focus on the cancer standards, providing details of cancer rules and their application. The session will provide details on the operational management of cancer waits covering cancer PTL meetings and operational management tips and will address some of the challenges currently being experienced across providers and their systems. (We have allowed an additional 15 minutes for questions at the end of the webinar).

This 60-minute webinar is for any provider, commissioning and regional staff involved in the management, reporting & oversight of patient waiting lists, data quality completeness and validation. The session will provide an overview of the key features and good practice that form the basis of systematic and rigorous management of PTL (waiting list), data quality completeness and validation. 4 Outpatients firm foundations - live webinar
This 60-minute webinar is for those working in provider and commissioning organisations and those with operational input in Outpatients. Transformation programmes are well underway across the country. By its nature and to be sustainable, transformation takes time and will reap significant benefits, but extra capacity is urgently needed now. This session provides a focus on how to maximise existing resources to ensure capacity is optimised as well as tips for excellence in the basics. 5 An overview to the Elective Care Guide 4th Edition (this is a new addition to the series)
This 45-minute informal webinar provides an opportunity to hear about the updated context and content of the 4th Edition of the Elective Care Guide. The purpose of this guide is to provide NHS staff with a compendium of guidance and resources to support improvement in the management and delivery of elective care services. The guide is set out in a number of chapters that follow the stages of a nominal patient pathway. There are also chapters providing guidance and resources that focus on cross cutting themes.
