Getting ready for patients to have access to their future information

GP practices across the country are giving people with online accounts (NHS App and other approved patient apps) access to see new entries in their GP health record automatically as part of a phased rollout.

Online prospective record access is now enabled at one in five practices and our focus over the coming months will be to continue supporting remaining practices as they prepare to switch on access so that patients and staff across the country can benefit. Find out more about the changes here: https://digital.nhs.uk/services/nhs-app/nhs-app-guidance-for-gp-practices/guidance-on-nhs-app-features/accelerating-patient-access-to-their-record

To help support practices prepare for this change and ensure access to online records is offered safely and effectively, a series of webinars have been arranged.

Recorded webinars are also available on the Implementation Team FutureNHS workspace and further supporting resources and guidance is available online here: Resources to support staff with providing record access to patients - NHS Digital.
