Radiotherapy Payment Structure Review Workshops
NHS England and NHS Improvement has publicly committed to completing a review of the radiotherapy payment structure, as part of wider strategic focus on improving access to modern and innovative radiotherapy. A small working group has been set up to help us understand the issues currently affecting radiotherapy services in preparation for three national events which will take place in London, Bristol and Leeds.
The events offer an opportunity to bring together NHS England national colleagues, specialised commissioners from the regional hub teams and provider colleagues including finance, service management and clinicians to participate in this work.
The aim of the event is to engage early in the process with stakeholders to ensure that any proposed changes to the radiotherapy payment structure are fit for purpose, giving stakeholders an opportunity to feed in to this work and for some to participate in the testing phase.
From each provider we would like to invite up to three representatives with the aim of having a cross-section of contracting & financing, service managers and clinical colleagues at each of the events. Registration for the events in London and Bristol is now closed. If you have registered, you will receive further information shortly. Registrations for Leeds will be open until Tuesday 15 October 2019.
