Responsible officer training and networks
Responsible officer training
This training provides a valuable opportunity for responsible officers to share ideas, expertise and best practice and is open to:
- Current responsible officers (ROs) and their revalidation support teams if not previously trained
- ROs who may have missed some RO training sessions (the previous modules)
- New ROs
- Potential future ROs
- ROs who may wish to refresh their training
The purpose of these training sessions, developed in conjunction with the GMC and NHS Resolution, is to enable responsible officers to manage effective processes within their designated body.
Responsible officer networks
Responsible officers are expected to attend and engage actively in four network meetings each year, at quarterly intervals. Each regional team run network meetings on a range of dates and venues, each quarter. Responsible officers are very welcome to attend network meetings in regions/areas other than their ‘home patch’. Indeed this is positively encouraged to increase the level of cross-reference with approaches across the regions.
