Unlocking Talent - Through Inclusive Dynamic Conversations - Line Manager's Workshops

A practical, hands on, interactive and stretching workshop, responding to the needs of CFO to start taking “meaningful action not more words” and make equality, diversity, inclusion and talent management “happen” so “no one gets left behind”.

We want to grow our future leaders and make sure we bring the best version of ourselves to work and we are all realising our potential and getting the support and development and encouragement, to get to the next step of our aspirations.

To enable this, build your skills, confidence and comfort in having meaningful, honest and constructive conversations, we are offering these workshops, endorsed by the leadership team.

Pre-requisite – as a minimum, so must have reviewed the Aspiration and Motivation Pillar in the Dynamic Conversations material to attend this session. 

The format and learning objectives of the session are as follows:

1 - Understand talent management and articulate it`s benefits.
2 - Understand Line Management Responsibilities and why we are moving away from the 9 Box Grid.
3 - Deliver inclusive, Aspirational Talent Management Toolkit conversations, using Dynamic Conversations, to become more or newly skilled in how to use them. 
4 - Grow your own insight on what conversations you want with your line manager. 
5 - Recognise all types of bias and how it can impact our decision making.
6 – Intensively practice these skills, through situational and inclusive leadership, by managing different talent scenarios and making difficult conversations much easier.
7 - Understand how the new Workforce Talent and Succession Planning Panels will work.

  • Once you have had the training, please have early Aspirational Talent Toolkit conversations, to consolidate your skills and build line manager relationships.
  • Please use the guidance and toolkits fully.
  • Please attend further development on supporting disabled colleagues in 2022.
