16 June 2025 12:30pm – 1:30pmBST (+01:00)
Virtual (Microsoft Teams)

A new national E-lfh module on supporting healthy weight for paid carers of people with a learning disability has been produced by lead researchers Karen Coulman and Amanda Owen-Smith at the University of Bristol  (funded by NHS England SW) on behalf of the SW Healthy Weight of People with a Learning Disability Working Group chaired by Justine Womack from OHID SW in partnership with Nicky Powell SW NHSE Learning Disability and Autism Programme Senior Transformation Manager and LeDeR Regional Coordinator.

The training aims to educate carers and supporters of people with a learning disability to understand the importance of the right to health in relation to nutrition and activity and support them to make small changes that can improve it.

This webinar will provide information about the new learning module, explain the rationale for developing the module (evidence and data), describe the research and consultation underpinning its development and will describe how the training can be used.
