Health and Justice Inclusive Workforce Programme event series

Health And Justice

Inclusive Workforce Programme aim: “To improve the recruitment and retention of a larger, more diverse, inclusive and representative workforce for all Health & Justice services and programmes”.

NHS England Health and Justice Inclusive Workforce Programme (IWP) was set up in response to the NHS People Plan 2020/21. The workforce challenges for Health & Justice services are similar to those faced by the wider NHS, with the additional challenge of delivering care within secure settings, to patients and service users that often experience a wide range of significant health inequalities and all whilst working closely with our partner agencies (i.e. the police, courts, prisons, youth offender institutes, secure children’s homes and immigration removal centres).

The IWP programme aims to promote opportunities available and encourage staff to join the health and justice workforce.

The IWP is holding a series of events to promote findings and resources from the programme, with the aim of supporting health and justice commissioners, providers, and other interested stakeholders to help address a wide range of workforce issues.

To find out more about the Inclusive Workforce Programme please visit our IWP webpage and join the  Future NHS Collaboration Platform.
